Bellator Fighting Championships 115-pound women’s titleholder Zoila Gurgel will return to the circular cage on Nov. 12, as she will square off with Carina Damm in a 125-pound catchweight contest at Bellator 57. Gurgel announced the paring on Twitter following an initial report from MMARising.com on Friday.

Emanating from Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Bellator 57 marks the Chicago-based promotion’s second trip to Canada in 2011. No bouts have been officially announced for the event. The main draw will be broadcast on MTV2 in standard definition and EPIX in hi-definition, while the prelims will stream live to Spike.com prior to the televised broadcast.

Gurgel, 27, has won six straight contests, with the lone loss of her career coming to Miesha Tate in Strikeforce competition in 2010. Since cutting to 115 pounds, Gurgel has been perfect as a member of the Bellator roster, earning three decision wins last year to win the promotion’s inaugural women’s title. Following her marriage to fellow fighter Jorge Gurgel, “Warrior Princess” returned to the cage at Bellator 35 on March 5, outpointing Karina Hallinan in a 125-pound catchweight bout.

Younger sister to Sengoku Raiden Championship Rodrigo Damm, Gurgel’s challenger recently snapped a three-fight skid by posting back-to-back wins in her native country. Following finishes at the hands of Hitomi Akano, Cat Zingano and Tara LaRosa, Damm rebounded with successive submission victories over Antonia Deize and Sheila Santos in May and July, respectively.
