The fight card for the UFC’s debut in Croatia now has its first four matchups, officials today announced.
The event, UFC Fight Night 86, takes place April 10 at Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia. It airs on FOX Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Although officials announced four matchups for the card, a headliner still hasn’t been determined, they told MMAjunkie.
In heavyweight action, longtime UFC fighter and former title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga (17-10 MMA, 12-9 UFC), who recently halted a three-fight skid with a decision victory over Konstantin Erokhin in December, takes on surging Dargin fighter Ruslan Magomedov (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC), who’s won his first three UFC bouts – all via decision – to push his overall winning streak to nine fights.
In a light-heavyweight bout, Igor Pokrajac (25-12 MMA, 4-7 UFC), who’s gone 3-0 in regional action since a five-fight winless streak halted his first UFC run in 2014, returns to the organization to take on Jan Blachowicz (18-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC), a Polish vet who looks to halt a two-fight skid following losses to Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson.
Additionally, the event features French heavyweight Francis Ngannou (6-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who scored a knockout victory over Luis Henrique in his December UFC debut, meets Serbian newcomer Bojan Mihajlovic (10-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who started his career 0-3 before rebounding with a current 10-fight winning streak.
Finally, undefeated Danish middleweight Nicolas Dalby (14-0-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC), a former Cage Warriors champ who recently fought Darren Till to a majority draw, takes on Polish vet Bartosz Fabinski (13-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC), who looks for his seventh straight win.
