Gold medalist Kaillie Humphries hasn't signed with UFC, will be fight-week guest

kaillie-humphries-heather-moyse-2014-olympicsNo, Olympic gold-medal bobsledder Kaillie Humphries hasn’t signed with the UFC. But she will be present at an upcoming UFC public-relations event.

Despite reports that the 28-year-old Canadian, who won gold medals in 2010 and 2014 in the two-woman bobsled event, had signed with the organization and will fight at the TUF Nations Finale on April 16, UFC officials ultimately clarified the matter.

The confusion began Tuesday with Humphries’ tweet:

UFC-Canadian officials today gave the details and explained that Humphries, who won her latest Olympic medal this past month with bobsled partner Heather Moyse, wasn’t serious with her initial tweet:

The TUF Nations Finale takes place at Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The event, which includes a Michael Bisping vs. Tim Kennedy middleweight headliner, airs on FOX Sports 1.

Humphries is likely to be one of a handful of Canadian notables who will be present for fight-week activities.
