Fuel TV Executive Reveals Tentative UFC Event Schedule for Remainder of 2012

UFC fans now have a bit of a timeline for the promotion’s upcoming live events on Fuel TV.

George Greenberg, Fuel TV Executive Vice President and General Manager, announced Tuesday that UFC on Fuel 4, 5 and 6 will likely take place in July, September and November, though no specific dates have been set in stone as of yet. No locations or bouts have been announced for the planned events thus far.

Fuel TV has seen a sharp increase in viewership since it began airing UFC content this year as part of the promotion’s seven-year deal with Fox Networks. The cable station broadcast its first live UFC event on Feb. 15, which averaged 217,000 viewers and was highlighted by a hard-fought welterweight contest between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez.

UFC on Fuel TV 2 is slated to take place this Saturday and marks the promotion’s first-ever event held in Sweden. Emanating from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, the show will be headlined by a light heavyweight contest between rising Swedish prospect Alexander Gustafsson and hard-hitting American Top Team representative Thiago Silva.

Next, Fuel TV hosts the UFC’s May 15 offering from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., topped by a featherweight tilt between Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung Jung.
