After Saturday’s event in Brazil, it’s fight week once again for the UFC as it heads back to its home base in Las Vegas for UFC 170.
There’s a full slate of pre-fight events this week, and fans are invited to many of the usual activities.
UFC 170 takes place Saturday and airs on pay-per-view, FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass from Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center. The championship main event is between women’s bantamweight titleholder Ronda Rousey (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and fellow Olympic medalist Sara McMann (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC).
MMAjunkie will provide live streams of most of the festivities, though fans in Las Vegas can attend for free.
Wednesday features open workouts with Rousey and McMann, plus co-main event light heavyweights Daniel Cormier and Patrick Cummins. The event is free and open to the public and takes place on the Mandalay Bay Events Center floor starting with McMann’s workout at 1 p.m. PT local time, followed by Cormier at 1:30 p.m., Cummins at 2 p.m. and Rousey at 2:30 p.m.
Thursday’s pre-event news conference takes place at Mizuya at Mandalay Bay. It also is open to the public. The news conference takes place at 1 p.m. PT with doors for the public opening shortly before that. Attendees include UFC President Dana White, Rousey, McMann, Cormier, Cummins and main-card welterweights Rory MacDonald and Demian Maia.
Friday’s weigh-ins take place at Mandalay Bay Events Center at 4 p.m. PT, and doors open to the general public at 3 p.m. PT. However, prior to the weigh-ins, UFC Fight Club members can attend a Q&A with UFC heavyweight Travis Browne and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold at 2 p.m. PT (doors open at 1:30 p.m. PT).
