UFC President Dana White may shoot his mouth off when it comes to promoting other people’s fights, but when it comes to his own, he seems fairly grounded.
On “The Dan Patrick Show,” Wednesday, White manned up and admitted that he wouldn’t want to step inside the Octagon with Joe Rogan. Fear is definitely a factor for him.
“Joe Rogan is a very well-rounded guy,” White said. “He was a Taekwando champion and he was a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I would not like to fight Joe Rogan. No, I am good with that.”
Come on, Dana, we’ve seen you in your tight black shirts. Give yourself more credit. White is sure of one though, he’d throw it all on the line, Wanderlei Silva-style, against FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.
“Jay Glazer, absolutely all day long,” White laughed.
Patrick tried to book the fight right there and then. He said he would make it happen for a UFC show down the road, on the undercard of the Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz rematch.
“At our age, in the shape we are in, we’d have to be on the first prelim that starts at noon,” White said.
Maybe CM Punk could fight the winner.
