The UFC’s traditional pre-event show returns on Tuesday, July 2, with the debut of “Countdown to UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman” on FUEL TV.
The one-hour special previews the card’s headlining middleweight title fight between current champ Anderson Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) and top contender Chris Weidman (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC).
The show debuts July 2 at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m. PT). Replays of the show air throughout the week on FUEL TV as well as regional FOX Sports channels.
UFC 162 takes place July 6 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The evening’s main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
UFC 162 also features a main card of featherweights Frankie Edgar (15-4-1 MMA, 9-4-1 UFC) vs. Charles Oliveira (16-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC), middleweights Roger Gracie (6-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Tim Kennedy (15-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC), featherweights Dennis Siver (21-8 MMA, 10-5 UFC) vs. Cub Swanson (19-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and middleweights Tim Boetsch (15-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) vs. Mark Munoz (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC).
