Camozzi vs. Natal, Lentz vs. Oliveira rematch booked for UFC Fight Night 47 in Connecticut

A middleweight matchup between two fighters to looking to rebound from recent defeats has been booked for UFC Fight Night 47, as Chris Camozzi (19-8 MMA, 5-5 UFC) meets Rafael Natal (17-6-1 MMA, 5-4-1 UFC). Additionally, a rematch between featherweights Nik Lentz (25-6-2 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC) and Charles Oliveira (18-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) has also been added to the card.

UFC officials today announced the bookings.

Featuring a middleweight contest between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Gegard Mouasi, UFC Fight Night 47 takes place Friday, Sept. 5, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Conn. The night’s official bout order has yet to be revealed, but the bulk of it is expected to air on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Camozzi books a quick return following a frustrating weekend loss to Bruno Santos. It was Camozzi’s third-consecutive loss, and he’s now in desperate need of a victory. He now meets Natal, a man he was supposed to face in May 2013 before being forced to withdraw from the contest with an injury. Natal is equally needing of a win after dropping back-to-back fights to Ed Herman and Tim Kennedy.

Lentz and Oliveira first met in June 2011, when both were competing as lightweights. Oliveira won the fight via submission, but it was later determined an illegal knee led to the finishing hold, and the result was overturned to a no contest.

With the addition to the card, UFC Fight Night 47 now includes:

• Michael Chiesa vs. Joe Lauzon

• Chris Camozzi vs. Rafael Natal
