Cage Warriors Fight Night 8 weigh-in results: Mason, Reuter set for main event

The weigh-ins for Cage Warriors’ return to the Middle East are in the books with all fighters on the mark for their Saturday bouts.

Headliner Jack Mason came in 1.6 pounds heavy for his welterweight fight against Collin Reuter on Friday and was given two hours to cut the extra weight, but he was on point on his second attempt. Mason (23-11) was 172.6 pounds for his fight with Reuter (9-1-1), who was 171. When mason returned, he too was 171 pounds.

All other fighters on the eight-bout card were on point for their fights on their first attempts and are official for Saturday’s show.

In the co-main event, Antoni Chmielewski (23-9) came in at 185.6 for his middleweight fight against Faycal Hucin (8-3), who was 185 on the button. Chmielewski, from Poland, makes his Cage Warriors debut while Hucin looks to win his seventh fight in eight tries. The Frenchman is 2-1 under the Cage Warriors banner.

In a featured bantamweight bout on the main card, both James Brum (11-2) and Olivier Pastor (17-13) were on the mark for their fight. Brum and Pastor each came in at 135.4 pounds. Brum enters on a five-fight win streak, including four in a row under the Cage Warriors banner. Pastor is 3-0 for Cage Warriors, but has dropped three of his past four fights.

Cage Warriors Fight Night 8 takes place at Mirbeh Sports Hall in Al Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The main card begins at 9 p.m. GST (local time) following prelims on Facebook.
