The fight card for next month’s Cage Warriors Fight Night 8 event in the United Arab Emirates has two new additions.
Officials recently them: bantamweights James Brum (11-2) vs. Olivier Pastor (17-12) and featherweights Matteus Lahdesmaki (12-8-3) vs. Martin Buschkamp (6-0).
Cage Warriors Fight Night 8 takes place May 11 at Al Fujairah Tennis Club in Al Fujairah, UAE. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) streams the main card following prelims on Facebook.
Brum looks for his fifth straight win and his fourth consecutive Cage Wariors victory after topping Leandro Gontijo, Thomas Back, James Saville and Moktar Benkaci, all via decision. The Englishman takes on Pastor, a French fighter who’s dropped three of his past five. However, before then, the European fight circuit vet had picked up Cage Warriors wins over Niko Gjoka and Dino Gambatesa.
Lahdesmaki, meanwhile, returns from a yearlong layoff that followed a TKO loss to Jim Alers at Cage Warriors Fight Night 6. Prior to the loss, the Finnish fighter was on a 3-1 run, which included a Cage Warriors victory over Graham Turner. He meets Buschkamp, an unbeaten German who’s posted first-round submissions in all six of his pro wins.
