Headlined by a heavyweight title scrap pitting returning champion Cain Velasquez against surging contender Junior dos Santos, UFC 139 goes down Nov. 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. The event will also feature a bantamweight tilt between former WEC champions Urijah Faber and Brian Bowles.
Tibau (Pictured), 28, has won four of his last five starts. The 14-time UFC veteran has been perfect through 2011 thus far, notching victories over Kurt Pellegrino and Rafaello Oliveira in March and May, respectively. The American Top Team export holds 10 of his 23 career wins by submission.
Like his upcoming opponent, Dos Anjos has also won four of his last five. After stringing together three straight Octagon victories, the 26-year-old suffered a setback last year when he was defeated by Clay Guida. The Brazilian rebounded in 2011, however, knocking out George Sotiropoulos in just 59 seconds at UFC 132 on July 2.
