Bola Omoyele-Aaron Wilkinson first bout set for Cage Warriors 60 in London

aaron-wilkinson-1.jpgCage Warriors Fighting Championship will return to London in October, and a bout between a pair of veterans of “The Ultimate Fighter” is the first set for the card.

Bola Omoyele (7-1) will meet Aaron Wilkinson (10-6) in a welterweight bout on the main card. Promotion officials on Tuesday announced the fight booking for Cage Warriors 60.

Cage Warriors takes place Oct. 5 at The Forum in London. The promotion most recently visited that venue for Cage Warriors 56 a month ago. The main card will stream live at MMAjunkie.com in North America following prelims on Cage Warriors’ Facebook page. Tickets for the event now are on sale.

London native Omoyele will put a six-fight win streak on the line when he gets back in the cage. He made his Cage Warriors debut at Cage Warriors 56, getting a first-round TKO of Vincent del Guerra in the main event in front of his home crowd. It’s been more than three years since Omoyele’s only loss, and all seven of his wins have been by stoppage with all six on his current streak coming in the first round.

“I’m looking forward to being back in the cage again to show what I can do,” stated Omoyele, who appeared on the U.K. vs. Australia international edition of “TUF” this past fall. “This is a tough fight, but that’s how I like my fights to be. I’ll be ready for it.”

Wilkinson, a cast member on Season 12 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” lost his lone fight in the UFC when he was submitted by Cody McKenzie at the TUF 12 Finale. Since then, he has gone 4-2, including a pair of fights for Cage Warriors. The Manchester native in December dropped a decision to Alan Johnston at Cage Warriors 50, which erased a first-round submission win over Leigh Cohoon at Cage Warriors 48, his promotional debut. Seven of Wilkinson’s 10 wins have come by submission.

Additional fights for Cage Warriors 60 will be announced in the coming weeks.
