Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is famous for making his entrance to the Octagon with DMX‘s version of “Ain’t No Sunshine” blaring over the loudspeakers of whatever arena in whatever city he may be fighting in.
In an interview with our video partners over at MMA Heat, DMX made a plea to UFC president Dana White. When Anderson Silva makes his return to the Octagon, DMX would like to lead him out — in person — to the tune of “Ain’t No Sunshine.”
Having recently nixed the song for another fighter that wanted to use it as his walkout music, White was down with DMX’s idea.
Check out the above video with DMX’s plea, and White’s response, and below we’ve got the song… in case you forgot what it was or something. Anderson has been sidelined for almost three months now. We don’t want you to forget the tune!
