Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva has had some big moments recently in his career. He went from toppling one of the most respected heavyweights of all time in Fedor Emelianenko to losing in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Semifinals to rising upstart Daniel Cormier.
He now has the opportunity before him that he says every athlete dreams about.
“Every athlete dreams of being in the best organization and I’m here now in the best MMA organization. So I’m gonna give my all,” he said on Tuesday in Las Vegas.
Of course, nobody ever said realizing those dreams was easy. Bigfoot will face a stern test in his Octagon debut, trying to rebound from the loss to Cormier against Roy Nelson at UFC 146 in May.
