Bethe Correia vs. Raquel Pennington set for UFC on FOX 19

Onetime women’s bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia will begin her road to redemption when she squares off with “The Ultimate Fighter 18” veteran Raquel Pennington at UFC on FOX 19.

Pennington (6-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) announced the bout with Correia (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) on her official Instagram page shortly after a report from Brazilian MMA website Combate.

Although not made official by the UFC, UFC on FOX 19 is expected to take place April 16 in Tampa, Fla., at a still-unannounced venue. The event’s main card will air live on FOX while prelims are expected for FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

It’s Correia’s first fight since a brutal knockout loss to now-former champ Ronda Rousey at this past August’s UFC 190. Following the setback, which came after three straight UFC wins, she relocated to the U.S. to train at the famed American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Calif.

Prior to the booking, Correia called out current title contender Miesha Tate.

Pennington, meanwhile, is coming off a win in a rematch against Jessica Andrade, whom she submitted this past September at UFC 191 after a split-decision loss at UFC 171. The performance not only won her a bonus, but put her back on the right track after a split decision loss at UFC 184 to now-champ Holly Holm. Since graduating from “TUF 18,” Pennington has bounced between wins and losses.

With Holm now the champ, the women will look to position themselves for a title shot.

• Rashad Evans vs. Mauricio Rua
• Michael Chiesa vs. Beneil Dariush
• Bethe Correia vs. Raquel Pennington
