Bellator 87 Weigh-In Results: New Main Event Set with Patricky Pitbull Injured

A late change has been made to Bellator’s main event scheduled for Thursday night as Patricky “Pitbull” Freire has been forced out of his bout against Guillaume DeLorenzi.

In his place, undercard fighter Saad Awad will now face DeLorenzi in a Bellator lightweight tournament bout.

Bellator officials confirmed the change to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday, and Freire later announced the injury via Twitter.

“I’m out of this week’s Bellator card, I suffered a knee injury at the end of my last sparring session,” wrote Freire. “Happily it’s not as serious as initially thought, and I may be back in the Bellator cage by the end of March.”
