A confident, undefeated Russian prospect is all that stands between Lyman Good and a rematch with Bellator Fighting Championships welterweight titleholder Ben Askren.

Good checked in at 170 pounds for his showdown with Andrey Koreshkov (171) in the Season 7 welterweight tournament final at Bellator 82 on Friday at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich. The winner will receive a $100,000 payday and a shot at Askren’s 170-pound crown in 2013.

The first welterweight champion in Bellator history, Good will enter the cage on a three-fight winning streak. The 27-year-old Team Tiger Schulmann export advanced to the tournament final with a unanimous decision over “Judo” Jim Wallhead at Bellator 74 in September and a second-round technical knockout against Michail Tsarev at Bellator 78 in October. Good, who owns a 7-2 mark inside Bellator, has never been finished in 16 professional appearances.

Hailed by some as the top welterweight prospect in the world, Koreshkov has secured 11 of his 12 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission -- eight of them inside one round. The 22-year-old RusFighters Sport Club representative punched his ticket to the final with a unanimous decision over Jordan Smith at Bellator 74 and a violent first-round knockout against former Dream champion Marius Zaromskis at Bellator 78. Koreshkov has compiled a 4-0 record in Bellator.

Bellator 82 -- which airs on MTV2 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT -- will also feature a welterweight tilt pairing Alexander Sarnavskiy (155.8) with Tony Hervey (154.4), a middleweight duel pitting Kala Hose (185.6) against former World Extreme Cagefighting champion Doug Marshall (185.4) and a catchweight battle matching David Rickels (159.8) with Jason Fischer (159.4). Two hours prior, Bellator will stream a portion of the preliminary lineup to Spike.com, including the professional debut of decorated amateur wrestler Shawn Bunch.
