Bellator 170 adds five fights to prelims, including Kevin Casey, Cody Bollinger, Chinzo Machida,

The lineup for next month’s Bellator 170 event appears to be complete with the addition of five more fights for the preliminary card in Southern California.

Chinzo Machida (4-2, 1-0 BMMA) will take on Jamar Ocampo (2-0, 0-0 BMMA) in a featherweight fight; Jack May (8-3, 0-0 BMMA) meets Dave Cryer (11-2, 0-0 BMMA) at heavyweight; Henry Corrales (12-3, 0-3 BMMA) vs. Cody Bollinger (19-6, 0-1 BMMA) is set for featherweight; middleweights Kevin Casey (9-5-1, 0-0 BMMA) and Keith Berry (15-13, 2-3 BMMA) will square off; and Guilherme Vasconcelos (8-3, 1-0 BMMA) takes on John Mercurio (8-7, 0-1 BMMA) at welterweight.

Promotion officials announced the new bookings today. Bellator 170 takes place Jan. 21 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The main card, with a main event between Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz at light heavyweight, airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie.

Bollinger will fight for Bellator for the first time since October 2012, when he was stopped with a first-round TKO by Shahbulat Shamhalaev at Bellator 76. Since then, he has fought for the likes of WSOF, Titan FC and RFA. Corrales has three straight losses – all for Bellator after debuting with the promotion in 2015 after starting his career 12-0 with 10 stoppages. At Bellator 138, he was submitted by Daniel Straus, the current featherweight champ. At Bellator 143, he dropped a split call to Emmanuel Sanchez. And at Bellator 153, he was submitted by former champ Patricio Freire.

Casey comes to Bellator after a six-fight run in the UFC that resulted in a 1-2-1 record, plus an additional two no-contests. In August, he was knocked out in the second round by Sam Alvey at UFC on FOX 21, leading to his release. Berry will be looking to get back in the win column for the first time since June 2013. He hasn’t fought since an October 2014 no-contest with Joe Pacheco at Bellator 127. Prior to that, he had three straight losses under the Bellator banner.

Vasconcelos has won five of his past six fights, including his promotional debut in June – a first-round submission of Jordan Dowdy at Bellator 157. Mercurio has won back-to-back fights since a split-decision loss to Justin Baesman at Bellator 127, his lone fight with the promotion.
