Bellator 142 video highlights: Phil Davis vs. Emanuel Newton

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Phil Davis’ highly anticipated Bellator debut was about as impressive as he could have hoped for.

After a lengthy run in the UFC’s light heavyweight division, Davis jumped right in at Bellator with a first-round submission of former champ Emanuel Newton in the opening round of Saturday’s light heavyweight tournament at Bellator 142.

Davis stayed consistent going after Newton’s arm and finally got it, cranking on a kimura to get his first submission win in nearly three years.
