The one dozen fighters in two Bellator weight classes are official for their tournament bouts at Bellator 110.

Bellator 110, which kicks off the organization’s 10th season, features the semifinals of a four-man light heavyweight tournament at the top of the bill, plus four opening-round fights in the featherweight tournament. On Thursday, 11 of the 12 tournament fighters made weight for their fights.

Only Quinton Jackson missed the mark on his first attempt on the scale. “Rampage” came in at 206.5 pounds for his fight against Christian M’Pumbu, who was well under at 199.75. Jackson was given two hours to reach the light heavyweight non-title max of 206 pounds and returned to hit that number on the button. He was one of four fighters on the bill to miss weight on their first tries.

It should be noted, though, that because of the many cameras inside the casino property at Mohegan Sun, where Thursday’s weigh-ins took place, fighters who missed weight did not disrobe in full behind a towel and instead will make their second tries behind the scenes. Doing so might have allowed three of them to make the weight with the help of a privacy towel without having to try again, but for those three who made it, the point is now moot.

Bellator 110 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The main card, including a Jackson-M’Pumbu headliner in the 205-pound tourney semifinals, airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com. The co-feature in that tournament is between Muhammad Lawal and Mikhail Zayats, each of whom made weight without issue at 205 pounds on the other side of the four-man bracket.

Things got heated between “Rampage” and M’Pumbu after Jackson’s interview with Jimmy Smith. When told M’Pumbu said he planned on retiring him, Jackson responded, “He’s’ going to retire me? He said that?” He then went in M’Pumbu’s direction and got nose to nose with him, shouting at him.

The eight fighters in the Season 10 featherweight tournament’s opening round all made weight without problem.

But three fighters on the preliminary card missed their marks. Saul Almeida was 146.25 for his featherweight fight against Andrew Fisher (145). Andrew Calandrelli was 156.75 for his lightweight bout against Ryan Quinn (155.5). And in a bad miss, David Roberts was 212 pounds for his light heavyweight fight against Patrick Schultz (201.25).

Almeida and Calandrelli made weight on their second attempts. But Roberts, a full six pounds ahead of the light heavyweight limit, and more than 10 pounds heavier than his opponent, had his fight against Schultz scrapped from the card because he was not able to cut enough additional weight.
