A bantamweight matchup between England’s Ian Entwistle (8-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Hawaii’s Dustin Kimura (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) has been added to UFC Fight Night 50.
UFC officials recently announced the new pairing.
Featuring a middleweight matchup between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Gegard Mousasi, UFC Fight Night 50 takes place Sept. 5 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Conn. The night’s main card airs on FOX Sports 1 while prelims stream on UFC Fight Pass.
An official bout order has yet to be revealed, but Entwistle vs. Kimura will likely be part of the preliminary card.
Entwistle is a submission ace who has earned six of his eight career wins by tapout. He made his UFC debut in June in New Zealand but was handed a TKO loss after refusing to let go of a leglock attempt while opponent Daniel Hooker unleashed a barrage of elbows in defense.
Meanwhile, Kimura came to the UFC as an undefeated prospect but has had mixed results thus far in the octagon. In his UFC debut, he defeated Chico Camus, but he’s since alternated results, sandwiching losses to George Roop and Mitch Gagnon around a win over Jon delos Reyes.
