Bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes added to ONE Championship 50

December’s “ONE Championship 50: Age of Domination” event has a second title fight.

Officials today announced reigning champion Bibiano Fernandes (19-3), who’s No. 4 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA bantamweight rankings, takes on challenger Reece McLaren (9-3).

ONE Championship 50 takes place Dec. 2 at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Manila, Philippines, and it streams as an online pay-per-view in North America. As previously announced, heavyweight champion Brandon Vera (14-7) meet unbeaten challenger Hideki Sekine (7-0) in the main event.

Fernandes, a 36-year-old Brazilian, looks for his fifth straight title defense and his 12th consecutive win overall. The jiu-jitsu standout and former two-division DREAM champion most recently scored a first-round submission victory over Kevin Belingon.

The champ now meets McLaren, a 25-year-old Australian. In his most recent bout, McLaren built off a promotional-debut win over Mark Striegl with a decision victory over Muin Gafurov at ONE Championship 41. He’s currently riding a four-fight winning streak.

Officials also announced a middleweight bout between Leandro Ataides (8-3) and Mohamed Ali (10-10).
