A former UFC heavyweight champion, Arlovski tipped the scales at 247 pounds ahead of Saturday’s event, which takes place at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and airs live on the NBC Sports Network. Cole, meanwhile, came in slightly heavier at 249 pounds.
The main draw will also see onetime UFC welterweight Anthony Johnson (205) square off with D.J. Linderman (205.5) at light heavyweight, while former WEC bantamweight king Miguel Torres (135.5) toes the line against Marlon Moraes (135).
Jiu-jitsu ace Gregor Gracie (170) will also see action on Saturday night, as he takes on Canadian talent Tyson Steele (170.5). Rounding out the televised broadcast, former heavyweight kickboxing star Tyrone Spong (205) makes his professional MMA debut against the hard-punching Travis Bartlett (208).
Prior to the main draw broadcast, the evening’s preliminary proceedings stream live on Sherdog.com, highlighted by a lightweight confrontation pitting veteran competitor Brian Cobb (155.5) against Brazilian talent Ronys Torres (155). Two UFC vets will also collide at welterweight during the undercard stream, as Gerald Harris (170.5) faces Josh Burkman (170).
Additionally, former K-1 Hero’s star Gesias Cavalcante (156) will square off with submission specialist T.J. O’Brien (155.5) at lightweight, while David Branch (185) and Dustin Jacoby (186.5) do battle at middleweight. Rounding out the undercard will be a welterweight clash pitting Steve Carl (171) against Ramico Blackmon (170.5). Waylon Lowe was also expected to face Fabio Mello in featherweight duel on Saturday, but that fight has been scrapped for reasons unknown at this time.
