Forty-one-year-old UFC heavyweight contender Mark Hunt refuses to fade away. The fighter the UFC once didn’t want has become a fan favorite and always seems to keep himself relevant in the heavyweight title picture.
Coming off of a first-round knockout over former heavyweight champion Frank Mir at UFC Fight Night 85 in Brisbane, Australia, Hunt hopes to land a high-profile rematch for his next fight.

“I’d fight any of the top guys. I can rematch any of those guys: JDS [Junior dos Santos], Stipe [Miocic], Fabricio [Werdum]. I can rematch these guys,” Hunt said during the post-fight press conference at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre following Saturday’s event.
“I’ve never lost a rematch, so I’d like to rematch any of those guys,” he said.
Hunt was finished by dos Santos, Werdum, and Miocic when they first fought. They’re also his most recent losses.
The “Super Samoan” is looking for a little revenge on his way back up into title contention. He considers his two-fight winning streak the start of a final run at UFC gold.
