Adam Kayoom Injured, Out of One FC Title Bout


Adam KayoomONE Fighting Championship (ONE FC) on Sunday announced that welterweight title contender Adam Kayoom has suffered a broken rib in training and will be unable to compete at ONE FC: WARRIOR SPIRIT against Nobutatsu Suzuki. Undefeated brawler Vitor Pinto will now step in to face Suzuki in a non-title bout. Also, undefeated Brazilian Adrian Moraes will be making his ONE FC debut against veteran Yusup Saadulaev. Plus, a Heavyweight match has been added to the fight card between highly touted Heavyweights Chris Lokteff of Australia and America’s Tony Johnson. All the action from ONE FC: WARRIOR SPIRIT takes place live on 15 November from the world famous Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Adriano Moraes is undefeated in his mixed martial arts career, having won all nine of his bouts contested in his native Brazil. He is equally adept in both striking and grappling, having amassed the same number of knockouts and submissions in his career. The explosive fighter will look to keep his winning streak alive when he competes outside of Brazil for the first time. He takes on a very seasoned grappler from Russia, Yusup Saadulaev.

Yusup Saadulaev is a Combat Sambo Champion who has won numerous grappling competitions. He is known for tapping out or choking out opponents and is most famous for his ability to knockout his opponents with a devastating slam. Saadulaev is coming off an impressive win over Ryan Diaz at ONE FC: RISE TO POWER. He is in a must-win situation and will be looking at clinching himself another dominating victory.

Heavyweight prospect Chris Lokteff is 11-1 in MMA competition. Fighting out of Integrated MMA in Brisbane, Australia, he is considered one of the top fighters to ever come out of Australia. Lokteff is an out and out brawler who packs 112kg of power behind his punches and is absolutely guaranteed to go for the KO right from the opening bell as he has never gone the distance in his previous fights.
