'UFC 189 Championship Tour Embedded,' No. 8: 'Dana White's gonna f-ck us up'

In the eighth episode of “UFC 189 World Championship Tour Embedded” in advance of July’s blockbuster featherweight title fight, Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor were apparently ready to tangle at a media stop – but it was the threat of UFC President Dana White that first got the champ out of bed.

The organization announced earlier this month announced a 12-day, 10-city media tour to promote UFC 189’s pay-per-view headliner between reigning titleholder Aldo (25-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) and McGregor (17-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC). It takes place July 11 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, and ahead of the summer blockbuster, the UFC’s “Embedded” series joins them on the tour.

In the eighth episode, which takes place in Toronto, Aldo discusses “Brazilian time” and how tardiness is a way of life. However, his trainer warns Aldo that “Dana White’s gonna f-ck us up,” which finally prompts a response. But once awake, a TV interview is nearly derailed during a confrontation with McGregor, and things get heated at a subsequent press conference.
