The figure represents a decline from last week's rating, which tied the season premiere's 1.5 million viewers. The show's household rating also saw a decline, as this week netted a 0.9 following week five's rating of 1.3.
Additionally, episode six posted a rating of 1.2 in both the M18-34 and M18-49 demographics. Both figures are down from last week's episode, which earned ratings of 1.4 and 1.3 in those respective categories.
The sixth episode of “TUF 13” featured the two final preliminary fights between Team Lesnar and Team dos Santos. In the first bout, Team Lesnar's Tony Ferguson knocked out Justin Edwards with a slicing up-kick to the jaw. Though the fight was highly competitive up to that point, the verdict was academic after Ferguson's heel relieved Edwards of his consciousness.
With the team score tied 3-3 heading into the final bout, Team Dos Santos' Zach Davis came through to deliver the victory for his squad, choking out Chuck O'Neil with a triangle choke in the first round. After the bout, the wild-card fighters were chosen for the final spot in the quarterfinals. After a meeting of the minds, the two coaches and UFC boss Dana White selected O'Neil and Javier Torres to compete in the wild-card fight in week seven.
