Bout 8 John Hideman vs Ricky Vasquez Johnny "Cage" as he was anounced did a fine job to open the bout by using well placed tiep kicks and clinch work. Both fighters went through a "feel out" stage in round one and it was over. Round one favored John Hideman. Round two began and Ricky Vasquez did a nice job of landing punches to the face of Hideman and eventually knocked him down scoring the standing 8 count. Round three went much the same and while it was a close fight in technique and constant action, it would be the knock down scored by Ricky Vasquez that would make the difference. When the judges score cards were read to the crowd by ring announcer Al Palone, Ricky Vasquez would secure the unanamous decision victory.
