Coming off a huge win over former WEC champion Anthony Pettis in June, Clay Guida is still waiting for a call from the UFC for his next fight. Guida recently spoke to fans in Milwaukee prior to UFC on Versus 5 about a myriad of subjects including the fact that while he walks around at only about 165lbs, he has no intentions of cutting down to featherweight any time soon. "Once I get my lightweight belt, then maybe I'll think about going down to featherweight," said Guida. "Until then I'm here to get my gold." While he's still awaiting word on an opponent, Guida is open to any fight the UFC gives him. He's just ready to compete and get closer towards the ultimate goal of winning the UFC lightweight belt. "Nothing scheduled yet, our phone's always on," Guida commented. Guida goes on to talk about a potential rematch with Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez as well as the moments he most remembers since becoming a professional fighter several years ago.
