MMA has actually been around at least since acient greek times, about 400 BC. It gets mentioned in the ancient greek philosophy I've been reading. It was called "Pancration," and involved boxing, grappling, choke holds, etc.. And about the "Boxing vs. MMA" question, the legitimate question is who are better fighters, who would win in a street fight. MMA fighters are way better fighters, period. You could argue maybe that boxers are better at boxing than mma fighters are at fighting... but who really cares about that?

Yeah man, I'm a huge boxing and MMA fan, and I think that boxers need to learn a good wrestling or BJJ game and they would be fine.
