@waddup.. This vid explains BJ Penn's disappearance from the UFC after defeating Matt Hughes 1st round in destructive fashion. This was many years ago when the UFC was first starting to get big.

neither condit or diaz deserve a fight with gsp. fitch should be next in line now that's he's healthy. he's the only one in that division who can finish gsp.

Hey bill. GSP already defeated Fitch, secondly you can't "draw" with BJ Penn, then move on to a title shot..And I believe he's top 5 at 170 but I would not use "Fitch can finish GSP". Since he's been a decision man since 2007ish.

Does anybody know when BJ has come out with these statements and this video? Is this from a while ago when BJ and Dana had their disputes or just recently after the Nick Diaz switch up?
First of all...Dana is about the bills BUT there is a fine line. He does his job and does his job very very well. He is hardwired to make as much money as he can for his financial well being as well as investment into the sport. However, he finds a good balance between cash and making this sport what he, the fighters, and you want it to become for now and the future.
As much as I love Nick Diaz, this whole Nick Diaz/GSP + BJ/Condit switch up is all blame on Nick Diaz. There has to be some type of level of responsibility in professionalism and come on face it guys, his lazy, no-care, antisocial attitude and behavior is not acceptable especially when Dana and the rest are trying to make the UFC/MMA a national/global mainstream recognizable top echelon sport. People aren't going to tune in when Nick Diaz does nothing to promote the fights. THAT is why Nick Diaz doesn't get a title shot. He hasn't yet learned his lesson and hopefully he will after this. This is a big statement Dana HAS to make for Nick Diaz to cooperate with the organization in the future.
As for BJ penn having short notice on Diaz, it sucks. But the reason for Dana to make this change up decision without his approval was because it was the ONLY damn option he had..someone has to fill in the card. PLUS HELLOOO these fights actually make more sense. BJ+Diaz BJJ/Boxing specialists WITH KO abilities. Condit+GSP both dynamic and GSP was right about Condit being more of a multidimensional stand up artist so GSP has sort of a bigger challenge. But it's all about styles + styles.

No one is protecting GSP; especially not with Nick Diaz. GSP wouldn't lose a round to Diaz. If you disagree you should take your mouth and money to Vegas. Diaz is the perfect opponent to make GSP an even bigger UFC name. I think Dana chose this fight because he knew Diaz and he mental problems would be a huge draw as the bad guy vs the good guy. This is a safe play for GSP. Diaz wouldn't even win a round.
