Mauricio Shogun Rua last 2 fights were so weak omg those last too fights he fought old men ring RUST!!

Machida is a good fighter no doubt. but im hoping that shogun wins it. its deffinetely possible for him to beat machida, hes not unbeatable...

Shogun does suck but there is no need to get so angry, your probably a 12 year old boy that is seeing his hero Lyoto getting shot down and can't handle it, leave the talking to the adults you little baby. Lyoto by KO round 2, thats my prediction, shogun is just another nice name for his resume, he doesn't have the skills to match Lyoto anywhere, on the feet or the ground, Lyoto should fight a wrestler who may ground and pound him, that is the only way i see him losing, same with anderson silva. Now why don't all you guys take the internet discussions a little less seriously and take a chill pill, internet racism is pointless because you feel safe behind your username, I do not know what kind of satisfaction can be gained by that.

Lyoto cannot backpedal if he is put in Shogun's clinch. Shogun is deceptivly strong.... he held Rampage in the clinch almost the entire fight. Rampage is no cakewalk in the clinch either. He looked like a 100% different fighter against Chuck Liddell... moving in and out, using angles, mostly counter-punching, fell for a nice kneebar attempt that NO ONE EVER does to Chuck. Shogun has the most underrated ground game at 205, he dominated Arona on the ground who is no slouch in the BJJ department. Shogun takes this fight by Submission I think.

I like both of them, they also have a very different style and that's what I like the most in MMA : Watching fighters with different profiles. Machida suprised a lot of people who thought Karate was dead but Shogun's chute boxing can also be deadly (cf. his Pride fights). Also, you seem to forgget that there's no "easy" fight at this level, as any man can still collapse on a single good hit. I'm expecting alot of this fight.

Machida imo will win this fight easily, and it will prove to everyone that lyoto is unstoppable. (Very similar to the Anderson silva vs forrest griffin fight)

I would honestly love to see Shogun win, though based on his overall performance compared to Machida, he's not quite on the same level. He'll have to make a hell of a chess move to beat Machida's game. Machida's game is so tight. Mauricio has to break him down with leg kicks and then go for the knockout if he hopes to defeat him.
