Vitor doesn't know what he's doing at all, and gets tooled by the sloppy Muay Thai oof Aoki the whole fight. What a shame.....Aoki calls out Joe Stevenson, apparently he likes to get KO harder.

Anonymous #2, what are you talking about? There is no chance in hell that Shaolin won the fight or was even close. The first 10 minutes of that fight were dominated by Aoki. Ribiero landed like 2 strikes and spent most of it getting himself kicked to a pulp, getting kneed in the head, or having his takedowns stuffed. The last 2 minutes of that fight were all Shaolin had and he did nothing.

That may not have been the most exciting fight in the world, but Aoki went in with a brilliant game-plan. Everyone was expecting this to be a battle between two great grapplers. Instead Shinya put Ribeiro completely out of his element by keeping him on the outside and peppering him with body and leg kicks. Ribeiro was helpless at range and completely unable to close the distance with his jabs. When Ribeiro did close in and tie Aoki up in the clinch, Aoki would out-muscle him and deliver knees with his new found Muay Thai clinch.

Even when Ribeiro finally managed to take Aoki down in the closing minutes of the second round (after numerous stuffed attempts) he was never able to capitalize due to Aoki controlling his posture and position with the rubber guard. Ribeiro managed to win about 2 minutes at the most of that 15 minute battle at the most.

Aoki totally outpointed Ribeiro the entire match. It really shows how victory is established through superior planning.

I don't know about that decision. Aoki landed more strikes on the stand up, but he didnt have much power behind them, aside from a few knees from the muay thai clinch. Vitor also pretty much dominated the end of the fight on the ground and did a good job from avoiding submissions from aoki's guard.
