I've never understood the hype behind Lindland, I know he is used as an example when people felt Belfort got the title shot too quickly, people were saying he was a top 5 middleweight. He is also described as one of Fedors 'legitimate' victories, with people saying he was pound for pound at the time, but I cannot see either of those things by a longshot, can someone explain? I wasn't as knowledgable at the time as I am know. My only guess is because he lost a split decision to rampage? I can tap to strikes in 2 seconds against rampage does that get me in the top 50?

once again Matt Lindland gets dominated and put out cold. I'm sorry but when you've been rendered completely unconcious in 4 of your last 5 fights it's time to hang it up. He's failed to evolve with the sport and it's showing, he doesn't have the ability to stand with anyone, his wrestling is rendered ineffective against more athletic fighters, and his ground game hasn't grown past lay-n-pray from the top position and offering next to nothing off his back.
