Dana speaks the truth, he does not deserve a top 10 rank until he beats a top 10 fighter. Im not saying he is not that good, I think he could beat half or more of the top 10 guys, but he needs to prove it. If he beats Wedum and Silva I think he gets that top 10 rank, and if he wins the whole GP, perhaps even top 5. Either of those guys or Barnett could give him lots of trouble I think.

lol this guy spelled ubereem instead of overeem :)
A hooker must of laughed at Dana's pecker. He sure was getting off a lot of steam. None of it made sense though.
Good thing I haven't, and never will, pay for a UFc pay per view fight.
Part 3: AGAIN, I'm leaning towards agreeing with Dana about Alvarez. I can't be bothered to write much more so I'll simply say, I'm very impressed with Eddie so far however, again he hasn't fought any top competition. Sure the guy has fought (and beaten) some legit guys but they weren't/aren't the best. In my opinion the 2 best fighter he has fought are Aoki, which he lost to, and Huerta. Who yes he beat, but face it hasn't exactly been on top of his game in a while. I really like Eddie though and would love to see him fight some top tier competition. Again, looks to be a great fighter, doesn't deserve a top 10 spot, needs to fight some real top tier fighters.
-Any other opinions on this? If anyone actually bothered to read all this that is. Just had to get my 2 cents in.
Part 2: I also more or less agree with Dana regarding Overeem. Now I'm not going to list a bunch of the guys fights, and yes you could argue he was at the wrong weight when he was fighting at LHW (which I disagree with, I simply think he wasn't as skilled then). Seriously, who has this guy EVER beaten? His most substantial win (in my opinion) was against Vitor Belfort, who (again) in my opinion was, especially back then overrated. Again I think Overeem is a very talented fighter, some of (if not the) best standup in the HW divison. And a decent, though from what I've seen not spectacular ground game. Is he one of the best? No, could he be? Probably. But until his skills are really put to the test against other legit HW's he also does not deserve a spot in the top 10 rankings.
I'm afraid I pretty much agree with Dana on this. Fedor definitely used to be top 10, probably even no. 1 however, who has he beaten in the last few years? Rogers? Some guy who had only been training for 1 year (and put up quite a fight considering). Arlovski? Sure the guy's got good boxing, but he's never been that hard to hit and lets face it, hasn't got the best chin in the world. Sylvia? C'mon, this guy's always been a joke. He was champ in the UFC when the Heavyweight division was full of chumps. Lindland? Simply enough, the guy's too small. That takes us all the way back to 2005, when he fought Cro Cop, who lets face it has never been great on the ground. Which brings us to the 3 wins over Nogueira, the 2 best fights in both of their careers in my opinion. But still, Fedor couldn't finish Nog in either bout (1 NC to a headbutt). Now tell me how this guy is still top 10? Don't get me wrong I still think Fedor is one of the best, but until he fights (and beats) other top tier HW's he doesn't belong on the list.

First of all, this interview was obviously done before Overeem defended his strikeforce title with a devastating victory. Secondly, its true most of the fights he lost were at LHW, where he was obviously not at a comfortable weight for his frame, maybe even dehydrated etc in those fights. Notice how he is virtually invincible at HW....To all you meatheads, do you think if you put Chuck to fight him now he could lose? I like Chuck, but if he fought Overeem now, they would have to scrape him off the octagon floor.

Well, I do agree with him in the sense that almost every top HWs are in the UFC and we are only speculating about Overeem. I'm not sure Overeem wouldn't get submited by Mir or knocked out by Carwin or pounded on the ground by Velasquez. I"m not saying Dana is right but darn people, get off Overeem's nuts a bit, he indeed hasn't really fought anyone at HW.
