i know its lame but it makes sense. if they didnt have the rule, there'll be less ground games because a lot of fighters would get KOd by heel kicks when theyre going for the gaurd. remember, this is a sport with entertainment. we dont wana see fighters getting KO'd in 10seconds.

you can hate the rule if you want but it is a rule and Anderson Silva knew it.Just watch him react after the ref pulled him away,he was frustrated,he knew he had made a mistake and...anyway,we clearly see that he was frustrated at himself.He never react like this,never.I've seen him KOed many guys,lose a fight and he always acted the same way.This time,he was trying to fight the ref!!!

I do agree tough,that the rule is a weak one,with no real purpose,but i don't think it's gonna change soon.

hard to believe this was an illegal kick...i cant stand the kick limitation rules...how is it right that a guy can rain elbows on you from the mount, but if you are flexible enough to heel kick him, that its illegal?
