This was a case where fighters just want to strike with each other rather then go for takedowns. if u dont like the guy running from u so much, then take him down. but diaz had few attempts and was poor at his attempts to do so. I don't care if Condit landed more strikes, to me the fight was very inconclusive. I would have been happy if it was called a draw, though I realize according to the rules and conventions of mma, Condit earned the "victory". This fight sure didn't live up to the hype!

I'd like to see this fight under the original rules of UFC - fight to the finish. Condit would be destroyed in a real fight with Diaz & he quite apparently knew it. If their wasn't a cage, he would have probably turned his back & just plain ran in the other direction. Condit did what he needed to do to win though. The problem is, if aggression is a criteria of judging, he didn't win. His points would have been nullified by avoiding battle. That was not lateral movement, that was running from a fight. The UFC now has a champion who won the title by NOT fighting.
