the answer is easy. people love a winner. especially one they can identify with. GSP wins and he is canadian. therefore he has a much higher chance of being loved by people in that country.

this is why as more foreigners/minorities take over MMA that many in the white american fanbase will bail on the sport. we saw it in boxing, we will see it in MMA. The white/american is an endangered species both in the cage and in the audience.

How does the white guy beating the guy with Latino descent confirm your stupid theories that no one cares about? Oh, yeah. It doesn't. Give it a rest, dude. Plenty of white fans still love boxing, basketball, and other sports that aren't dominated by white people anymore. Not one person on here has ever agreed or gave a s**t about your stupid theory.

it confirms it because the core of my theory(which you do care about) involves the way in which people tend to become fans of an athlete that is most similar to them. the one they can best identify with. the one which they have the least barriers with. nationality, culture, language and race are all major barriers. you are hung up on the race aspect which is only 1 part.

Everyone knows that it's human nature to relate to people who are more like you. That isn't some new revelation that you're sharing with the MMA world through your insightful genius mind. And that doesn't mean there will be no white MMA fans in the future. Nor does is matter. I don't care about your theory, it's just getting really old and annoying that you keep posting it.

The reason why foreigners and minorities usually dominate fighting sports is because they are a "poor mans sport". Many fighters especially minorities would not have anything else to fall back on and see fighting as their only opportunity to make it out of poverty as education or sports of higher status are not an option. How many fighters such as Tyson or pacquaio do you constantly hear about that did not have bread to eat before fighting.
This is also why whites dominate the more expensive, richer sports where it costs thousands of dollars to train through out a lifetime such as Tennis, Hockey, Golf etc.
So in conclusion the point you are trying to make is really stupid as it is not a question of race but one of SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS
