SNOOZEFEST OF THE CENTURY? i say yes. How can a fighter so consistently BORING be so beloved by a group of people?
the answer is easy. people love a winner. especially one they can identify with. GSP wins and he is canadian. therefore he has a much higher chance of being loved by people in that country.
this is why as more foreigners/minorities take over MMA that many in the white american fanbase will bail on the sport. we saw it in boxing, we will see it in MMA. The white/american is an endangered specIes both in the cage and in the audience.

how does the most well rounded fighter bore anyone? I love watching GSP do what he does. Granted it would be exciting to see him fight like he did against serra, and hughes the second times around, but I still like seeing him work now. Oh, and Im white, and im from the birthplace of our flyweight champion, Madville, KY represent.

I agree with koonta and im sure others will share in our same opinion. A fighter that never finishes fights but is always decided by the judges. Mechanical fighting. I dont know why he gets so much press his no prodigy in MMA. anderson silva wants gsp lets make it happen

@ Koonta : How long are you going to spam ALL fights with the same boring racial issue ? Fans don't care about race, they care about champions and challengers, you know, the guys beyond their skin color. Silly Koonta.

I am bit surprise to see so many people calling GSP boring. He spent 13 min out of 25 on his feet and what Diaz did, nothing. GSP threw more punches than Diaz, All Diaz was doing is simply showing off. A martial art fight required that you displays all disciplines without a fail. GSP will destroy hendricks and long live the King, the great GSP. By the way I am not a Canadian but a true MMA fan and practitioner.

People finding GSP boring have no knowledge of MMA or fights AT ALL. The fact is that GSP is the champion and, to become a champion you need to beat the champ... except that NO ONE has even been close to beat GSP in ages. Diaz showed NOTHING tonight and NEVER came close to be a threat to GSP. That's it, period. Now you may prefer a KO or a sub (as I do), but sorry GSP is not boring. He's defending well (so well no one amongst the world elite has been able to impose his will or tech over him). Period, whatever haters say :-)
