Front leg side kick called pal-i-cha-gee in chung do kwan Tae Kwon Do, old Korean style. The wheel kick that Barbosa used to knockout the guy in the previous UFC card was created by Duk Keung Choi, youngest grandmaster in Seoul. The way that many UFC fighters like to walk right up to their opponents with their stomach entirely exposed is great for Tae Kwon Do styles. It allows stomping-motion kicks like side kicks and back kicks to land flush in the stomach/intestines area. People have been hurt very badly by one body kick in that manner. Louzeau (spelling?), the Canadian black guy, he finished a fight with a simple back kick that landed in his opponents ribs and no doubt knocked all his wind out. My one amateur fight went the same way with a jumping back kick in the ribs:) A great TKD fighter with good timing could decimate people in the UFC by exploiting open torsos.

@ tkd: that kick was devastating my friend, thanks for the reminder on that one, that's one of my favorites.
