PSKL and FONZIE are talking like they were the experts of MMA. BJ is a amazing fighter to beat him you either are just that great or caught him on an off night. Frankie proved it was no fluke. But remember GSP had to fight BJ twice to prove who was the best. So stop flapping your lip and understand the fans want to have a champ with no doubts. Great job Frankie hope you are as great of a Champ as BJ was.

Hey TONY,comment on the fight, not on my TALKING;you've never heard me talk once in your spaghetti-life!And pls, dont compare GSP to BJ anymore.

really frustrating fight to watch it was a lot of frankie dancing around outside he fought to win, not to finish, u could hear his corner telling him not to give bj a round because they knew frankie couldnt finish, it was their gameplan the whole time and all those shots edgar landed didnt affect bj, he rolled right with them that said, most abysmal performance bj has ever put on, dude didnt start fighting till the 4th rd all in all weak display by both fighters

edgar fought not to lose he didnt go for the finish jus to win off of points. i dont mind that but as long as he doesnt do it gsp style, takedown control lay on him. best thing about selling penn u know he'll always go for the finish but it just didnt happen, he had the same expression on his face going into every round almost like he really didnt wanna fight\
edgar definatly looks like another fighter dominck cruz except cruz is way more active coming in and out more exciting

Whaou - I was for BJ but I must say Edgar impressed me tonight. What a great, complete fighter! I think BJ deserves a break or something, he was really dominated. Also, his conditionning seemed pretty poor to me. Grats to the champ !

what the hell is with him taking bj down so easily?
|
i really thought that frankie edgar wasnt a champ when he beat bj the 1st time, yeah he won by decision no doubt, but not impressively at all. i thought he won by running around and bj got frustrated. like they say your not a true champion until you defend it. i really thought frankie got lucky the 1st fight and that bj penn was going to finish him and show he is champ and still on his prime but damn didnt turn out like that. Frankie edgar is the champ now no doubt he beat bj penn this time

Edgar will lose to Maynard. Either way the title will belong to someone that just goes in looking for a decision win all the time.Get ready for the era of decisions. Oh man it's going to be boring.
|
BJ looked tired after round 1!
|
yeah, we have one new LH champion! Total domination. This was not a boring fight, Frankie has nice moments. Bj has to move on, win a couple of fights and get his confidence again. He lost the fire burning inside!

I wouldn't say BJ was dominated, at least not for every round. I never thought Frankie was close to finishing BJ. If this is "Total Domination," then what do you call it when someone is close to being finished over and over again throughout the fight (or in most cases, they actually get finished at some point)? I thought Frankie was better than Penn in every round, and in virtually every area of the game, but it seemed to me like Frankie just didn't have what it took to win decisively. However, with a couple of more rounds, I think Edgar would have finally been able to finish Penn due to wearing him down with damage and because his conditioning is better. I'm looking forward to seeing how long Edgar can now hold on to this belt now.

Just warms my heart to see BJ get beat-up like that! I've always hated pretentious bums like him! Good by and good riddance.

ill give it to frank he beat bj and i wouldnt say he dominated bj either, not once did it look like bj was going out but still got to give frank credit he made bj play his game again n got the win i feel that if bj attacked more he would have won but its going to be interesting seeing how long he can hold it my opinion not very long and Bj PENN will be bak once that fire to fight hits

Great job by Frankie Edgar. Got to give him credit this time because BJ couldn't finish the guy. Seriously though, am I the only one annoyed by Frankie's wife in the background blowing her lungs out screaming for Frankie all the time? Geez. Almost hit the mute button.

tsk tsk tsk bj penn has always lack the heart man thats his greatest downfall he fought like he he didnt even want to win its like wat ever !! to him wat a waste all that talent weak state of mind im sick of it!!!!!!
|
Did Bj even get out of bed? Since before the fight started he looked like he was some where else. It didn't appear to me that he came to win a title. Edgar deserves a better fight.

got to wonder whats going to happen to bj. he's going to fight his way back up to a better group of fighters in the division, and probably loose again because now everyone knows he's beatable.
