I am very impressed with Volkmann, besides weak stand up he had some great ground skills. Hope the UFC keeps him around, he looks like such a nice guy.

AMAZING fight, deserved fight of the night if you ask me! Volkmann is one of the most unheralded names in all of MMA...3 time All American with U of Minnesota, runner up in the US Greco Roman Nationals...and 2008 World Absolute No Gi Grappling Champion...not sure what his BJJ credentials are but he sure outgrappled paulo Thiago, enough on my cards to outweigh Thiago's striking.
