Machida still = best fighter ever imo. nothing against shogun at all, he definately beat machida. but everyone has their bad nights. had to happen eventually. fighting is fighting. anything can happen to even the best of the best. Machida will be back!

Wow Lyoto is so awesome

Wow I didn't realise not being confrontational was considered a weakness given some of these comments. Machida is everything and seemingly nothing. His style is so well rounded it's unbelievable. He can strike offensively, counter strike, grapple, has great submissions and he's fast. I see no weaknesses at all. Can anyone name one that's not childish rhetoric? The guy cops no damage which ultimately is better because it protects his body, brain and stamina in the short and long term which trumps entertainment for people who only appreciate toe to toe bombthrowing and nothing else. Oh yeah and he actually wins. The Rua win was controversial but I'm yet to see a style that can rattle him. Personally I think he's as big for MMA as the first time Gracie Jiu Jitsu had major exposure in the ring. Just my opinion, I'm not an expert some people just need to appreciate this guy for what he is.

Persionally i think evans has his ufc 108 match already won against silva. Evans is to smart for silva, hes a tactician, while silva depends on blind strikes and strength.

To those who say Machida is a "running man". What Machida is doing is called "dodging". Where as lesser fighters would just stand there getting hit and as a result get KTFO. Machida is just too fast and too skilled for fighters who've only been doing it for 3 years, where Machida has been trained to fight his whole life. If you look closely, you can clearly see he's toying with most of his opponents, on top of that he's also outsmarting them.
