OK people Shogun is not a better fighter then Lyoto Machida no way not even!! shogun has been TKO before so how is he better and he has been chocked out 2 times before. Machida is way too fast!! and has won too many karate championships he will pick apart shogun!!!

its not that simple
everyone can win with skill and a strategy
but its a fight
you try and sometimes your stuff wont work cause say their takedowns are to good thus you cant throw leg kicks, than you might be stuck striking with a better striker, which can lead to a downfall due to their takedowns and ground and pound, i mean it all depends..machida' runs a lot i mean if you can back him up he dosent do that well, against a aggresive fighter who counters and can get machida backed up, stands a chance..its evident in all of machida's fights he likes picking shots, not brawling or clinching,and he lacks k.o power that liddell, rampage, wanderlei and shogun all have

Evans lost because he couldn't find a strategy. As far as athletic ability Evans has more. He was faster and more agile. He just couldn't figure out what would work on Machida. Also, Machida focused on countering the whole match. In the instances where Machida got aggressive Evans countered and scored licks. If evans had more patience and timing he could have won. His fighting was a little sloppy thanks to his lack of confidence. Overall it was a good fight. Evans lost because he lunged to hit machida and he got countered. I believe that if they fought again Evans would have a chance to win if he could develop a strategy. I personaly believe he should have taken a defensive strategy and focused on countering. Machida was defensive because he knows that evans is powerful and quick. he took advantage of that to win.

Machida is so much precise, he knows so well the right timing and the right distance but against Shogun will be different: two great fighters, no doubt, I admire so much both of them (with Mir and Carwin are my preferites)

i never said he had no chance i said dont ,make shogun to be the under dog cause he will surprise you. shogun only lost 3. dont get me wrong machida is a great fighter. i like his fights but for me personally i like shogun more. n by they way. shogun and machida are actually friends. so its going to be weird for them to knock each other out

How can you say shogun will lose to machida.. hands down shogun is a better fighter.. the only times he lost were because of injurys. when he fought forrest he had a bad knee. when he fought coleman he feel and broke his arm..Shogun has never been knocked out before

Are you dull? How can you say Machida stands no chance against Shogun, Machida's perfect 15 and 0 record speaks for itself. How many fights has Shogun lost? So what Shogun has never been knocked out before neither has Machida .
