So Shogun was rated as the best 205lb fighter in the world in the day and now he's at full health and Machida may not have dominated him, but was never in danger in his first title defense. Machida may be overestimated by some people but you're clearly wrong, he is far more than mediocre. You've been proven wrong so I'm replying.

Yeah, I was wrong about Machida, he is better than good but still not great, I just don't like his style and strategy though. What if the other fighters faught like him? Nobody would throw the first punch, they would just be looking for the best time to strike. Don't like Randy Coutoure's style either. But that's becuase I'm a fan and not a fighter, I just want to see a KO or submission, don't like seeing fights go the distance. Machida can't dominate like Silva, or GSP or Fedor. Those guys are GREAT fighters not Machida yet, he still has to show me more. But that's my opinion. Thanks for the civil reply ITTOU-RYOU, you seem like you really know your shit. Oh yeah, did you see Dana white at the end of the fight? He said "you won that fight Shogun" so it was a contreversial decision but I do agree with others that Shogun never beat Machida.... for anyone who says lyoto is the beast in the ufc is mistakenly wrong the best in the ufc right now would have to be GSP then followed by anderson silva and then lyoto if u look throughout lyotos career he has less than spectacular opponents so until he is really tested like he will be vs shogun we dont know

machida is not only a great fighter he's a smart guy (very smart) he and his team come up with the best gameplans in the 205 division some say he does the same thing over and over well watch most of his fights closely see how his style and gameplans progressed to what they are now LEGEND (wait for it ) DARY he has discipline seldom seen in sports and i think shogun is the only fight at the moment for machida as all the other top contenders are coming of a loss or are already scheduled in a fight so at the moment the 205 division top 10 is al buckled up ... i personnaly want to see him do what he wants and that is defending succesfully 5times and then take on lesnar that would be an experience never seen felt or heart before
