yo i watched this video without the commentating and to me it kind of still shows shogun won but thats probably becuz he is my favorite mma fighter, i think if you look at how each person is moving and how they look you can easily tell who won the fight. Shogun!

There's a major divide amongst MMA fans. There are people who want to see the best fighters doing their best to win, and then there are people who want to see every fight try to reenact Forrest vs. Bonnar. The problem is the UFC doesn't offer a good value to either group. If you want to see the best fighters you are really only talking about a dozen or so guys (both Machida and Rua included). If you want to see two guys punch each other in the face for a while MMA might be the wrong sport since grappling has been a major part of the sport since the inception. I think everyone who got into MMA because of TUF season 1 should start watching k1. Those fans tend to not like Machida because he looks to win regardless of whether or not the drooling masses watching the fight like how he does it.
Now, I understand that people want their money's worth. However, if you don't feel that watching the best counter-striker in the sport play out his gameplan or watching the best grappler hold dominant position for 25 minutes over his unworthy opponents is worth your money stop paying for MMA. Personally, I only pay to see about 6 guys fight, everything else I watch online.

Shogun only got the better of the exchanges because he and his trainers devised a plan to cover up while attacking which left lyoto to hit nothing but forearms and gloves while throwing his straight left. Joe Rogan wasn't biased i think he was more or less surprised that shogun landed strikes on lyoto like all of us were. I believe if shogun had never seen a fight of lyoto's prior to this fight you would have seen shogun get totally dominated or even knocked out for the first ever time in his career like rashad and thiago

joe rogan was really starting to iiratate me with his (WOAH NICE KICKS BY SHOGUN)...first of all half the shit shogun threw was inafective,OBVIOUSLY,and u no wat fuck u guys that think shogun should have won,i cant wait for the rematch,cuz lyoto isnt goin to make those same mistakes,im feeling a knockout for machida.....ALLL HAIL MACHIDA
