vera didnt struggle to win this fight at all. he neutralized soszynski's groundgame and worked his standup so soszynski barely connected. vera did what he does best and picked soszynski apart for 3 rounds, although he should've been more active in the clinch. vera executed his gameplan and came out with the W. i dont see vera beating lyoto machida or brock lesnar anytime soon though. he still has a loooooot of work to do before he gets back to the top of the LHW division.

I think Vera was once a pretty decent fighter, but he has fallen way down the mountain...even in this fight, he had to stuggle for a decision over an entry level fighter..Vera says his goal is to capture 2 titles at the same time, one in HW and one in LHW, yet he could barely get past the experiment, what else could I say.

guam, typing stupid stuff in ALL CAPS OVER AND OVER does not make it true. Good fight overall, but Vera should definitely address how easy it is to put a muay thai clench on him and find some more shot that could actually KO people (he had a couple decent uppercuts in there, but they missed), or the better LHW's won't respect his stand up and just go in and KO him
