Gono's got a big problem in that he doesn't want to break his hand again, so he doesn't really throw punches anymore. In this fight Fitch charged in a bit and was open to a counter hook, but Gono wouldn't throw it. He even counter slapped Dan Hardy to avoid a punch. His doc said his career could be over if he breaks it again.

I agree, but the problem is that Fitch can just use his wrestling and win the fight, and he'll continue to do that, hes like Koscheck(who I hate), but Fitch has come a long way, I must say. Koscheck on the other hand, and I hate that Rogan says this, but he hasn't come a long way from being just a wrestler, sure he has a nice right hand, but w/o his wrestling hes nothing.

This fight is a perfect example of the difference between the American UFC style and the Japanese leagues. UFC allows elbows to the head on the ground so you get these wrestlers who just dump you and your back and toss elbows all fight. The fighters that come to the UFC from fighting in Japan in many cases seem to have difficulty adjusting. Because of the no elbows to the head in Pride and K1 they don't really have true ground-and-pound fighting over there, too the same extent at least. GnP can, like in this case, make for a really dull fight. Anybody agree or disagree?!?
