Randleman did score the takedowns and had the better positions and landed good gnp early...
However, Rutten landed all the shots in the standup battle, made armbar attempts, and landed much much more from his back than Randleman from the top.
This is MMA, not wrestling, once you"re in the guard you need to land something not just stand on the other guy and keep him pinned on the mat.

For Bas face he was cut in his last fight and could have been easily re opened by some of that beast ground n pound Randleman delivered to Bas. If you think randleman won just because he took Rutten down alot is wrong because for every take down delivered Bas delivered a hard strike which judges count too! If this had better round timing then you could say Randleman won round one because of two take downs and brutal ground n pound. but Bas won every other round because of strikes standing and from his back. besides the "1st" round Randleman didn't do anything after taking Bas down and if you are taking a position just to rest then that take down is seen as not affective.

Didn't really enjoy the fight, Bas won because of the defence on the ground i think, Kevin could have been in more control if he had started to show a little more offence rather than just grappling.

what? are you bas ruten's wife? pin to the ground the whole fight, a broken nose, a mashed up face oh, let's not forget, 2 busted up eyes?..I never seen such a onesided fight, Randleman was robbed big time, I would expect a decision like that back in the 50's or 60's against Randleman...its slime like you that would judge a fight like this, and mess up a fighter's career...if Randleman had gotten this decision that he worked hard for and deserved, who knows where he'd be now, had his career taken off, You are the one who knows nothing about mma, I have been following it from day 1, stop the bigotry, cause what goes around comes around.

Bas was more aggressive with the stand up & was more active off his back & delt better strikes, standing up & off his back!!! Randleman blew his load after 5 mins & couldnt keep it up with pace hence all the take downs, it was the broken nose that made it look like Randleman was winning, Bas did well to keep going & deserved to win as he fought most of the match, almost 15 mins with a broken nose, his cardio must of been amazing!!!

At 5:27, Randleman got a kick to the liver from Bas. Randleman admitted later that he was hurt, and from the on all he did was take down. Bas fought well from the bottom position and delivered many good strikes to Randleman. And when it comes to the nose thing. Its very easy to brake a nose, and all the conceern was if the nose damage was going to hinder Bas. eyesight
