Over the course of ten weeks, this Submission series will show full breakdowns of some of the most technically beautiful, and complicated submissions of all time. Broken down by extremely talented Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Noah Arnold Tillis, owner, and head instructor at Tillis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The #9 ranked submission on this list features UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, as she avoids a flying knee attempt from Cat Zingano in the opening seconds of the fight, only to scramble, and ultimately secure her signature submission, armbar. However, this armbar wasn’t a typical armbar, Ronda admits she had never hit this particular armbar in training.
Noah shows us the scramble which led to Ronda finding herself in position to secure the armbar, as well as the finish.
